On the morning of December 10th, 1996 Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, Harvard intellectual and neuroanatomist, suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke that damaged her left-hemisphere seemingly beyond hope of recovery. Now no longer restrained by the constant chatter originating in her left hemisphere, her newly liberated right-hemisphere opened the door to instant nirvana.
Dr. Taylor spent the next eight years recovering her ability to walk, talk and speak. Watch and listen as a respected scientist vividly describes her “Stroke Of Insight”.

Charlotte thank you for your kind words. My daughter is now a blogger and just yesterday I directed her to your site for some of the best writing tips I’ve seen.
And yes, this little blog is all about the quest for personal nirvana and the tools that it takes to get there. I sometimes err on the overly scientific side - but then you have helped me with that! Do come back, the last word on preventing dementia has not been written yet.

Fascinating. I’d heard of Dr. Taylor’s experience, but watching her describe it was amazing. I want to know how to access that state she describes all the time!
Great blog–its a subject of interest to me. I’ve just ghostwritten a book about preventing dementia and will be doing more for the same people so I’ll be returning to read more from you.
